By the late 1960s, both Volkswagen and Porsche needed new models; Porsche was looking for a replacement for their entry-level 912 and Volkswagen wanted a new sports coupe to replace the Volkswagen Type 34 Karmann Ghia coupe. At the time, most of Volkswagen's development work was carried out by Porsche as part of an agreement dating back to Porsche's founding. Volkswagen had to outsource one last project to Porsche to fulfill the contract, and decided to make the 914 that project.

On March 1, 1968, the first prototype of the 914 was presented. However, development was complicated after the death of Volkswagen chairman Heinrich Nordhoff on April 12, 1968. His successor, Kurt Lotz, was not connected to the Porsche dynasty and the oral agreement between Volkswagen and Porsche fell apart.

This fantastic German brochure is one of the first brochures ever published of the VW - Porsche 914 and is dated September 1969. The brochure consists of 8 pages, including cover.

The condition is certainly good for a brochure that is now 53 years old. Only slightly discolored, especially on the edges and light traces of use according to age.

Print number: W 6 - 500 - 0969 - 0404

In summary, a beautiful brochure for every VW and Porsche enthusiast, which is not offered anywhere for this price in this condition!
