The original envelope, which is present, testifies to the fact that on February 10, 1982 this fantastic brochure was sent by Aston Martin (Buckinghamshire - UK) to Mr. Olsen from Minneapolis - USA).
Many years later, this brochure with its accompanying envelope came back to Europe where it was added to the collection of a lover of exclusive vehicles.
Via via I got into a conversation with this enthusiast and at the time wanted to expand my collection with brochures from Aston Martin and Lagonda. The case was quickly settled and with this brochure my collection of Aston Martin started.....
This beautiful brochure from 1975 with a high-gloss cover consists of 12 pages, including cover. The overall condition is good with light traces of use with a small fold at the bottom right (see photo 1).

De Aston Martin V8 is een grand tourer die van 1969 tot 1989 door Aston Martin in het Verenigd Koninkrijk werd vervaardigd. Zoals bij alle traditionele Aston Martins, werd hij volledig met de hand gebouwd - waarbij elke auto 1.200 manuren nodig had om te voltooien.
Aston Martin wilde het DB6-model vervangen en had een grotere, moderner ogende auto ontworpen. De motor was echter nog niet klaar, dus bracht het bedrijf in 1967 de DBS uit met de zes-in-lijn Vantage-motor uit de DB6. Twee jaar later was de V8 van Tadek Marek klaar en bracht Aston de DBS V8 uit. Met de ondergang van de zes-in-lijn Vantage in 1973, werd de DBS V8, nu gerestyled en simpelweg de Aston Martin V8 genoemd, bijna twee decennia lang de mainstream auto van het bedrijf. Het werd in 1989 buiten gebruik gesteld ten gunste van de Virage.
Deze werkelijk schitterende brochure werd in maart 1976 door Aston Martin Lagonda Inc. uit King of Prussia (PA) verzonden naar Minneapolis. De originele enveloppe is na 46 jaar nog steeds bij de brochure aanwezig, samen met pagina 78 uit het tijdschrift "Road & Track" over de introductie van de Aston Martin V8 op de New York International Automobile Show.
Zowel de enveloppe als de brochure getuigen van het feit dat ze altijd zeer goed bewaard zijn gebleven. Niet vaak in deze kwaliteit gezien.
De brochure bestaat uit 16 pagina's, inclusief kaft en is voorzien van de technische specificaties en kleuren.
